Shelby division love making the Mustang powerful and this one is tuned to the max

Shelby have managed to put 950bhp in this Mustang which would make American loving muscle car weep with delight this car is a very special car the reason it is 50 years that  Carroll Shelby premiered the Corba back in New York Motorshow in 62.

Shelby since 67 have created there own version of a Ford Mustang by leaving the outta body they have taken it away and managed to beef up the car the last one called ‘Super Snake’ managed to hit out 800bhp (yes from a 5.4L engine) This one had to be very special

Shelby and his team took GT500 Mustang, stripped its 5.4-litre Ford V8 down to the block and gave it some serious muscle they improved the head was flowed, the cooling was revamped and the exhaust was upgraded, and there’s now a choice of either a Kenne Bell 3.6-litre or Whipple 4.0-litre supercharger on offer

The street version hits out at 950BHP but they have made a race version called S/C 1000 track version offers up 1100bhp yes faster than Bugatti Veyron (if it was let out on our streets) driveshaft is now stronger and suspension is all new meaning it can go full wack when you are bobbling along out on US circuits

Carroll Shelby says “For our return to the New York auto show,I wanted something just as incredible that will show how far we’ve come and where we’re headed for the next 50 years.”

The 50th Version is on sale for $250,000 (£125k UK cash) and 50 will ever be made

Vauxhall and British Gas to enhance AMPERA ownership experience

Vauxhall and British Gas have teamed up to help improve the new electric car the Apera with its power

For £795 Vauxhall will offer all Ampera owners a British Gas Home Charging solution, which will include the installation of a home charge point, three year warranty on parts and labour, and three year Home Electrical Care. You would say not bad it also includes that British Gas will also provide a free home electrical survey to all Vauxhall Ampera customers. Without obligation, a British Gas engineer will recommend the best Home Charging solution, from dedicated circuits to the best home charging points from which to charge your Ampera.

Duncan Aldred, Vauxhall’s Chairman and Managing Director said “Our new partnership with British Gas will provide a major benefit to all Ampera customers,” he added “We can now guarantee that new owners are assured of the very best advice about safe and efficient charging completely free of charge. It also complements our existing Ampera Customer Charter by offering customers a bespoke service, allowing them to get the very best from their car.”

British Gas Director of New Ventures Dan Taylor says “Partnering with Vauxhall on powering their electric cars is a very exciting driver of growth for British Gas as electric cars move into the mainstream. With our network of engineers, we can help make buying an electric car accessible and convenient through specialist advice and the installation of charging points.”

The new charging point will help owners to charge up the Vauxhall Ampera when it is fully charged the Ampera will then be able to travel up to 50 miles with zero tailpipe emissions and its total range in 360 miles meaning you can use electrical power to save fuel and it does cost £29,995 which includes government electrical grant

 

NRG plans to bring 200 fast charging electric points in California

NRG plans to bring 200 fast charging points in US in celebrity county California

In USA Fast Electric charging points would be every where but there are only a small distance like for example  78% of commutes are less than 40 miles (64 km) round-trip which can easily get to in these electric cars but green powered NRG plan to bring 200 new fast charging points to California

This is the company where they took a normal DeLoreans and turned it electric how well we dont know that but this is co owned with Dynegy a company that had lots of problems over the years but NRG agreed to $120 million to create jobs,invest in the state’s economy and provide job training for the stations’ maintenance and installation crews.

According to Governor Jerry Brown calls the settlement the beginning of a “virtuous circle” that will boost electric vehicles in area which means more sales and he is banking on that if goes well as engadet say “you’ll be looking at a smog free San Francisco skyline by 2050″

Volkswagen Passat voted best company car of the year

The new Volkswagen Passat has won best new company car of 2011.

The car beat strong contenders from Ford, Skoda, SEAT, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and BMW 3 series, The Passat won the award as judges looked at including operating costs (depreciation, fuel, servicing, maintenance and repair, lease rates, tax liability), suitability for their use as business cars and the level of support from the manufacturers and their corporate sales teams.

The Volkswagen Passat wasn’t the only winner as other awards include Ford Fiesta won the Best Small Car and Ford also won the Best Lower Medium Car for the Focus, Other car winners include Skoda Superb estate, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 5 Series, Toyota Land Cruiser, SEAT Alhambra and Nissan Qashqai in there own category.
